Trauma is part of life
Trauma healing also
Practice for trauma therapy and inner growth
Welcome

Where are we going?
My approach
The focus of my work is Somatic Experiencing, a body-oriented method for integrating trauma. Trauma therapy is a complex and subtle process that requires competent and sensitive support. The key is not to relive the trauma, but to create new experiences in the body and activate the body's capacity for healing and self-regulation.
I complement my expertise in Somatic Experiencing with my knowledge of neuroaffective personality development and client-centered counseling to create a holistic approach.

What can be made easier?
I offer support for specific traumatic experiences as well as for the following symptoms and issues (which may result from traumatic experiences).
Concrete traumas such as accidents, assaults, early childhood issues (neglect, being left alone), violence, falls, operations
Symptoms such as anxiety, tension, stress, hyperactivity, strong emotional fluctuations, sleep disorders, exhaustion, depressive moods
Issues such as crises, relationship difficulties, fear of failure, not getting anywhere, obsession with control, feelings of lack.
Embark on a path to greater serenity and a sense of inner security, a deeper connection with yourself and others, and a more confident approach to difficult situations. Things can get easier.
I'm happy to support you.

My offer
My services focus on individual sessions. I offer body-oriented trauma therapy for regulating stress (not only traumatic) and talk therapy.

Individual sessions in person and online
- Trauma therapy (Somatic Experiencing)
- Stress management
- Talk therapy
In addition, I offer groups on selected topics: we are not alone with our issues and can support each other greatly.

Methods
In addition to addressing thoughts and feelings, the inclusion of the body plays a crucial role. Often, we understand our problems intellectually, yet are still unable to solve them. What prevents us from unfolding are the traumas that have left their mark on our bodies and minds. These can only be healed by involving the body. Body psychotherapy supports you in connecting with your body and its capacity for self-regulation and healing.
That's why I primarily work with Somatic Experiencing (see below), which I supplement with other methods.
- Client-centered interviewing according to Rogers
- NAPD (neuroaffective personality development) according to Marianne Bentzen
- Nonviolent communication according to Marshall Rosenberg
- Philosophical approaches to existential questions about meaning, life and death as well as good living (eudaimonia) and right action (ethics)
- Real listening and full presence
Somatic Experiencing
The tiger in the image represents our inherent power and our connection to our natural life energy. Traumatic experiences block this energy.
A traumatic experience is an overwhelming event in which we cannot successfully deploy the survival energy mobilized for fight or flight. This energy remains trapped in the nervous system, and the body is in a state of alert.
Somatic Experiencing (developed by Peter Levine) is a body-oriented method that releases traumatic stress by gradually discharging the trapped energy in the nervous system and releasing it as positive life energy. Somatic Experiencing is suitable for overcoming shock trauma and transforming early attachment and developmental trauma.

About me
I have been working with Somatic Experiencing since 2016 and have been a naturopath for psychotherapy in my own practice since 2018. My many years of experience in psychosocial counseling increasingly developed into in-depth therapeutic work. I now assist in Somatic Experiencing training courses in Germany and India and conduct accredited sessions.
In addition to my therapeutic training, my work draws on my knowledge from my work as a trainer in nonviolent communication, as a leader in AI ethics, and as an expert in stakeholder engagement in EU projects. It all began with studying philosophy and the question of what constitutes a good life.
My work is supported by my long-standing mindfulness practice and Zen meditation.
